Take a Peek Inside the Sustainable Predictability Modules
Module 1: Awareness
Enabling a Flow-Based System
In Module One, we’ll start with the mindset shift. We’ll bring awareness about the most common misconceptions that hinder your performance and prevent you from delivering on time.
We’ll make it explicit where you’re going and how you’re going to get there. You’ll learn how to see your work in terms of flow and you’ll understand the different approaches (and their pros and cons) of managing work. The main focus will be on perceiving your process as a system. We dive deeper into why tracking and optimizing an individual's performance actually contradicts the optimization of your entire workflow. We’ll explore what is Systems Thinking, how to analyze demand and capacity, and the approaches to design a Kanban system.
Module 2: Evaluation
Revealing the Current State of Your Flow
In Module Two, you’ll learn everything about flow metrics and analytics. I’ll show you how the different flow metrics connect to each other and how to read the industry-standard flow analytical charts to be able to track and evaluate your performance.
You’ll master how to track your delivery times, how to measure how much work you deliver, as well as how to analyze the amount of work in progress in your system. This is where our analytical tool Nave will be of great help as you’ll be able to put the knowledge in action and perform a deep analysis of your own processes and understand the meaning behind your data.
Module 3: Improvement
Continuous Improvement Practices
Module Three is all about continuous improvement. We’ll explore the practices to improve your flow-based system. We’ll talk about the scientific method, performing root cause analysis to understand the main cause behind your delays, and we will dig deeper into the practices of managing bottlenecks, blockers and defects. You’ll learn how to attack the sources of inefficiency in your workflow to improve your delivery speed and the strategies to establish a continuous improvement environment.
Module 4: Consistency
Optimizing Your Flow-Based System for Predictability
In Module Four, we’re going to talk about everything you need to know about how to put a stable system in place and bring some consistency in your working practices so you can optimize your workflow for predictability. We will dive deeper into the connection between the main flow metrics and how they affect each other. You will understand how to adopt explicit policies to enable a smooth flow of work and predictable delivery results.
Module 5: Direction
Value-Based Prioritization System
At this point, it’s time to clarify your direction. Module Five is ultimately about business outcomes. Optimizing your delivery flow is a big step to achieving sustainable results but none of it will make sense if your output doesn’t translate to an outcome.
The importance of maintaining work items that define customer value is tremendous. That’s why Module Five is entirely focused on how to establish a decision-making framework that will enable you to sequence your backlog items based on the value they bring to your business and your customers. We’ll explore the strategies on how to come up with the most effective approach to deliver value to your customers.
Module 6: Reservation
Dependency Management & Capacity Allocation
Module Six is all about aligning your collaborative efforts throughout the departments in your organization to ensure a stable workflow throughout your entire value stream. We’ll talk about the data-driven approaches to allocate capacity to enable effective risk management, as well as the proven strategies to manage dependencies to persist the predictability of your workflows.
Module 7: Predictability
The Reliable Approaches to Making Delivery Predictions
Moving on to the last module Seven, where I’ll show you the reliable and the unreliable approaches to making delivery forecasts. You’ll understand how to use your own past performance data to predict the delivery of your work. We'll reveal several approaches, explaining in detail how they should and should not be used to make accurate delivery forecasts. You’ll master the tools that will help you produce reliable results.

If you feel like the management has lost trust in your team's ability to deliver results...
...even though you know they are great professionals and that they work well together. If you realize that the problem is not in your people, but you don’t have the evidence to back up that belief.
If you can see that your team is forced to sacrifice the quality of their deliverables..
...while they’re in the throes of full-fledged burnout. If it’s obvious that they rush tasks and cut corners, causing defects and poor-quality outcomes, despite the fact that they’re working even harder to meet impossible deadlines.
If you know that your team has the potential to achieve much more....
...you know they feel the pressure and they push themselves to their limits to meet unrealistic expectations. They’ve done their best to meet their commitments, only to figure out they are late again.
A note from Sonya Siderova, Founder & CEO at Nave
Here at Nave, we've been helping hundreds of managers to resolve the challenges that come with achieving consistency and predictability in their delivery workflows.
With more than 1 000 users, 10 000 workflows, and serving businesses with over $200 million in annual revenue, we’ve discovered the exact ingredients differentiating companies that achieve business agility apart from those that never get beyond keeping workers busy.
2020 has earned itself quite a reputation, and it’s been a wake-up call for so many companies to strive for more predictability. They had to adjust quickly to the market demands and fit into their customers' expectations.
There has never been a better opportunity to improve the stability of our workflows and optimize our processes. Now is the time to adopt a data-driven approach to managing the flow of work and gain sustainable competitive advantage.
